This Love
02:55
|
|||
I commit to mind, your lines
my obsession close at hand
I condense, re-count your face and how it looked as you pushed back
In Out In Out
These lungs are living for breathing
And this heart for your love
Bliss, I slide into - well I'm sure gonna try
I keep a steady grip; a tune -
The wanderlust has set itself back
In Out In Out
These lungs are living for breathing
And this heart for your love
A step towards a goal
As a part of a whole, your limbs are mine to move - to savor once and then to have again
This heart it bleeds for love
This heart it loves to lust
This heart it lusts for blood
This heart it bleeds for love
In Out In Out
These lungs are living for breathing
And this heart for your love

King Bait
03:00
|
|||
I go walking where I know I know you can't find me
Down Stream
I wander not without an aim but in a daydream
Down Stream
I go walking where I know you can't find me
Down Stream
If I catch i'll be a killer or a bait king
Down Stream
Oh I'm going down
I'm coming out
I can paint a picture of your craving
Down Stream
I can pull apart the reasons for your rating
Down Stream
But if I hunt on my own the Man will slay me
Down Stream
Yeah if I catch I'll be a killer or a bait king
Down Stream
Oh I'm going down
I'm coming out
How can you lead the way with words so false and shakey?
Who are you to say your God's the one who made me?
Oh I'm going down
I'm coming out

One Hundred Ways
03:47
|
|||
In a hundred ways I could say how I don't like you
But on reflection of what that makes me, I stop the count.
Every other day I'm second guessing of my guiding - to put it simply, in myself I sometimes have some doubt.
(Waking life a whirlwind - salted cheeks, a flush of heat for pride and pain - I try to separate, articulate the difference between wealth and gain. And in due course, as my vision clears for a moment - I let go - and the wind continues howling in lover's ears how Mary didn't know.)
Well the girl in your head sings sweet stories that I love you,
and the girl that follows me around like a ghost says the same, but the girl that I know and the whispers that are blowing in the wind call out another man's name.
Watch me try, though I need not care for how you think.
Censoring your conversation according to your goal.
And these daydreams leave me shuddering on the brink - soon her knees will band, you've won her end and she moans, she moans...

Wasted With You
03:14
|
|||
Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you already are.
The things I admire I have found in the fire - we're made of the same earth and sparks.
Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you already are.
My heart is trying, rebellious fighting, to follow behind bones bars.
Mountains in motion I'll bury the ocean
I can't stand to see all that blue
(My heart breaks bone bars, baby I know what I do)
Birds in the sky, I'll go south till I die and they'll bury my bones in the dirt.
I want to waste all of my time with you.
I don't think dreams will change things but that don't stop me spending the weeks in my mind.
Try as you might - there'r a depth to your sight and I'd not hurt you with reason so blind.
Mountains in motion I'll bury the ocean
I can't stand to see all that blue
(My heart breaks bone bars, baby I know what I do)
Birds in the sky, I'll go south till I die and they'll bury my bones in the dirt.
I want to waste all of my time with you.

Ornithology
03:33
|
|||
You catch him a running
You'll find him a spluttering
He's a Diesel-engine worn.
You catch him a shooting
You'll find him a looting
He's a sharp-tongued falcon born.
And when you come home
He'll be hooting and a blowing on the weary old good-time horn.
And if you want love, he'll be shouting above
from a mantle - forgotten, forlorn.
You're lying if you tell him you lie a lot
You're lying if you tell him you lie a lot
And you'll be waiting
You'll be waiting here
You'll be waiting here forever for the levee drop.
Let it drop
Bring it back

Hearts and Hands
03:45
|
|||
I sit backwards on the train so I can watch you leave
studded prison, mirrored walls, to focus my reprieve.
These streets all taste the same - tar and salt and painted cheeks and Khazad-Dum still battles in my mind of bricks and freaks
I think I'm ready to fight to leave.
I might drink too much scotch,
I might lie with too much ease,
I might not be welcome in your home of purity.
Dissect and divulge my confidence in you - bring to attention what is plainly in view.
I think I'm ready to fight to leave.
Do I threaten your ideal?
Is my reason all to real?
Something was wrong that summer - I read in rebus, dreamed of lovers.
Clothing clung limp as fish on my silver-lame bodice.
Sticky palms
Imagination
Awkward sighs and tight fit denim
I think I'm ready to fight to leave.
For all the hearts that wrought you
For all the hands that fought your good sense -
I'm made.
For all the hearts that wrought you
For all the hands that fought your good sense -
I'm made.
